Tourist Spot Arena / Stadium
One of the country’s most iconic sporting venues, Adelaide Oval holds an elevated status as the home of cricket and Australian rules football in South Australia. Imposing and white-roofed, the stadium towers above the leafy suburb of North Adelaide. Constructed in 1871, the 2012 redevelopment of Adelaide Oval brought the historic stadium in line with the modern demands of large sporting venues. The stadium often hosts concerts, with artists such as Elton John, Madonna, and Fleetwood Mac having performed there. • This Oval is great, I've attended plenty of footy matches, a couple of cricket matches, a concert & a function & every time has been memorable. There is no bad vantage point, wherever you sit you feel...  more »
  • Since completing the redevelopment a few years ago, Adelaide Oval has become a nice place to watch sport. Definitely worthwhile attending an event there.  more »

  • A wonderful venue steeped in history but now blending with the modern. Love the retention of the old scoreboard. visited as part of a corporate evening event which is another fantastic use of the facility outside of the sporting events.
  • Loved the grounds. Such a great idea that your ticket includes your bus fare. Wake up other States. Good food choices. Good signage. Friendly people on the bus who told us how to get home.
  • Terrific venue for the football, and not too bad for concerts either. It lacks a variety of food options and is really expensive. But just the atmosphere at this architecturally stunning is electric.
  • Did the roof climb at sunset/dusk was awesome. Not thrilling but a great tourist style experience for my favourite city in the world. Wasnt too cold with no wind or rain. The bridge, goal square and lean out were a little daunting but nothing for an adrenal junkie. Guide was great and the tour would be perfect intro for someone new to adelaide.
  • We went to see a soccer game here. Easy to buy tickets and get to seats. Had reasonable food options
