Saint Franciscus Church, Oranjestad

(3.8/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
Saint Franciscus Church claims the title of the largest Roman Catholic church in Aruba, but it's not what most visitors expect given the name. Although the church is designated as the largest on the island, it has only a single room. Take time to admire the arches that make up this room, and take advantage of the quiet and appreciate the history of the site, which dates back to the Spanish conquest. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Saint Franciscus Church and many more Oranjestad attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Oranjestad trip itinerary maker.

  • Getting there was most of the fun but it was interesting to hear the history behind this church and to visit. Not sure i would seek this out on its own but definitely worth seeing as part of a tour.
