Alto Vista Chapel, Oranjestad

(550+ reviews on the web)
Religious Site Church
Alto Vista Chapel claims the title of the largest Roman Catholic church in Aruba, but it's not what most visitors expect given the name. Although the church is designated as the largest on the island, it has only a single room. Take time to admire the arches that make up this room, and take advantage of the quiet and appreciate the history of the site, which dates back to the Spanish conquest. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Alto Vista Chapel and many more Oranjestad attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Oranjestad trip itinerary maker.

  • most island tours take in this church. You can go inside also. Well worth a visit, the location shows you a different side of Aruba from the hotel beach areas.  more »
  • We stopped by the chapel on our UTV. It was quaint if a little off the beaten path. There were a couple of food vendors. You could buy a candle to light in memory of a loved one.  more »

  • Very pretty chapel that we stopped at as part of a tour.
  • nice views perfect to take photos
  • Nice place for cool photos. Easily accessible. Food and refreshments are available by vendors.
  • Nog that special. It's ok. Nice to see
  • This small but lovely gem chapel sits on the north coast, overlooking the sea. The roads that lead to it are paved, instead not marked. So I needed a map to help reach this little church, particularly I wished to include other stops and spots on my trip tour. ****
