  • The Museum keeps many relics that are truly priceless. The Guide clearly to take, here with no problem. The Group recruited-and free guide conducts tours. Only you can learn from him, for example, that the greatest manuscript took 660 lamb, and the smallest was made from lambs, embryos on the oldest handwritten books on Bible translation, the figures on the manuscripts, how to protect and preserve manuscripts in Armenia. In halls with more modern exhibits can be found letters, learn about Armenian University students (you may be surprised to learn who studied there). Children up to the age of 10-12 (not Armenian) probably wouldn't be very understandable and interesting. On clear days from the entrance to the Matenadarat visible peak of Mount Ararat. Manuscripts cannot be photographed. said! Just taking pictures, you can, but without the Flash.

Where to stay in Yerevan

When it comes to accommodations in Yerevan, you'll find a number and a range befitting its status as the capital and most populous city in the country. Look in the Kentron (center) district, where by far the greatest number and best quality hotels can be found. Hotels in old Soviet blocks, grand former administrative buildings, or newly built high-rises offer standard to luxury rooms, along with a set of smaller hostels. With prices notoriously high for the region (and many visitors using Yerevan as a base from which to see the country), consider renting an apartment if staying for a longer period.
