  • Visited the Museum twice for 7 days stay. Weekly guided excursions booked 5 some people. On the parish paid all the tickets and waited for almost 40 minutes, in the end, it turned out that a guide for us in fact of no. Tried to then join us for a group that is already half halls bypassed. We refused, of course. Began to explore independently. But since the Russians almost no inscriptions, and English terminology is not always clear, the visit was defective. Through 6 days had come again. joined the group. But! broken battery, halls of Urartu were closed and stood an eerie noise. Why immediately you cannot prevent it prior to purchasing tickets on it. .. Farm a. .. Unfortunately. And exhibits interesting and impressive collection of course.

  • Armenia has an unbelievably complex history. This museum does a good job in explaining the history. You can easily cruise through here in an hour, but to fully digest the material would take hours if not a full day. A must-see in Yerevan.
  • This museum tells a great story of Armenian history, from ancient to modern, including the 1915 Genocide.
  • Great museum! The excursion in English is very interesting, the guide knows a lot and tells it with enthusiasm. We spent 4 hours there but could walk there the whole day with her if she had a possibility.
  • From stone age, you'll see the real quality of life in the ancient time! I enjoyed my visit and very informative
  • Excellent chronology of Armenian history

Where to stay in Yerevan

When it comes to accommodations in Yerevan, you'll find a number and a range befitting its status as the capital and most populous city in the country. Look in the Kentron (center) district, where by far the greatest number and best quality hotels can be found. Hotels in old Soviet blocks, grand former administrative buildings, or newly built high-rises offer standard to luxury rooms, along with a set of smaller hostels. With prices notoriously high for the region (and many visitors using Yerevan as a base from which to see the country), consider renting an apartment if staying for a longer period.
