Step into the peaceful courtyard of Blue Mosque (Persian Mosque), and admire the building's ornate, Persian-style facade. Completed in the 18th century, the mosque was commissioned by Nadir Shah, a powerful Persian ruler. Its simple chambers and prayer hall contrast the exterior's intricate tile-work, vibrantly painted dome, and 24 m (79 ft) minaret. Wander among the roses of the tranquil mosque garden, and visit the small museum that details the building's history. • The mosque was built in the 18th century. Open for visits. To the left of the entrance on the wall kept the old brickwork. The rest is new. Azany here with the Minaret does not read, in contrast to the Eastern countries. Talking is forbidden.

  • Beatiful Shia mosque.
  • Beautiful. Hope to see it in action and pray in it one day! Armenia should learn couple of things about freedom of Religion. Many religious monasteries, churches, mosques are repaired and given to those religious services by Turkish government itself, now thats what religious freedom is .
  • The only mosque in Yerevan. It's also one of the oldest buildings in the city
  • Blue mosque shouldn't be confused with the one in Istanbul. It is only active mosque in Yerevan and it is renovated and opened by the financial help from Iran. There is an open exhibition place for Iran art.
  • Interesting but that's not really so much to see.. Maybe 1 hr visit all included.
