Museum of Echmiadzin Treasury "is it in the Cathedral itself (from the entrance from the right side). It was opened in the year 1955. The Museum features unique Holy relics. One of the most famous treasures is a Holy Lance ("the spear," was postponed here their temple geghard), which pierced the side of Christ, a part of Noah's Ark. Of particular interest are the chairs of catholicoses of the XVII century, decorated with mother-of-Pearl and ivory, with cast of silver heads and Paws of Lions. The only thing that upset, here, oddly enough, in the holy place, faced the most gross and cool staff for our entire trip across the country. Won't go into many details, except to say that here we have met no smiles from anyone, nor polite words. And, I must say, we are not the first who faced such read reviews from other people who speak the same. Wanted to also warn that were ready, that can wait a long time to get into the Museum. The thing that can come more senior people than you, which will launch the first etc. and yet, learn about services, because if you have limited time, and the service will last a few hours, then you will not be connected to the Museum (plus it has its opening hours). The Museum is closed Monday.

If you've come this far, to the world's oldest Christian Cathedral, I recommend you really don't miss the opportunity to visit this museum. Inside the Cathedral, in the right wing (facing the altar). The entrance ticket costs 1500 Drams (less than 3 euros) and the Museum is open from 10:30. The ticket you can buy it at different points within the complex of the Cathedral (also in souvenir shops). Inside the Museum you will see a large collection of memorabilia and art crsitiana, gold, silver, and dresses are here exposed what is believed to be "the Spear of destiny" or "Spear of Longinus", the spear with which Jesus was pierced in the side after being crucified. The Museum also houses what according to the religious belief would be a fragment of Noah's Ark because, according to the old testament, Genesis 8:4 "the seventeenth day of the seventh month, the Arca is poso on Mount Ararat" the mountain sacred to the Armenians. If this opinion is helpful please press It at the bottom of the text, thanks. Diego

The Museum is located on the territory of residence of the Catholicos and focuses on Church issues. Entrance fee. The Museum will see such artifacts as a spear, which punctured the Jesus piece Noah's Ark etc. Visit exactly worth it.
