haghpat est très austère et sombre mais très intéressant ,sanahin plus bucolique et tranquille ,les 2 sont a faire car peu éloigné ,mais que c est long d y arriver ,surtout que dormir sur place n est ... read more »Haghpat is very austere and dark, but very interesting, more bucolic and quiet sanahin, 2 are has make as little away, but that c is long d get there, especially sleep n on-site is not very engaging (hyper polluted by the factory)show original
These two monasteries are by far the best I visited in Armenia. They have a raw, natural feeling to them, and you can feel the age. Definately with the trip up north!
