  • Is the large lake of Armenia, which occupies more than 5% of the total area of the country. It is fed by rainfall and melting of the Caucasso mountains. In one of its banks is born a river. Is the world's highest lakes around 2000. It is surrounded by various water activities and tourism. In one of the hills is the Savanavank monastery of whose levels of can about the ramifications of the fantastic panoramic Lake. Pleasant location especially in open day and plenty of sunshine.

  • Very nice is the walk along the river that I would have loved to have sailed. You see small boats to fishermen and hunters on the prowl with legs among the reeds. The water on average is 43 metres deep and clear, almost white. Around abandoned houses, resort built and went down the drain. The only cutting edge is the Sevan peninsula where there is a bit of liveliness in more

  • After a brief reflection about how and where you can spend five days of vacation, at sea, or "cultural" 2018g in mid-September. unanimously and his wife decided to visit Armenia. I must say that the overall impression of the country and the people, have surpassed all our expectations which we painted ourselves based on fairly scant information contained in the network. One of the places we visited was the Sevanovank Monastery complex, located on a rocky peninsula of Lake Sevan. Climbing up the winding road to the monastery opens duhzahvatyvajushhij views of the monastery against the backdrop of a Crystal surface of the Lake, which is more like a small sea. I can say without exaggeration, what you see will not leave anyone and the wave of emotion will not soon leave you, even when you return home. Go into detailed description not see much swept away, I will say one thing, no picture of Lake Sevan in the network not even close to be able to convey what you see ... Place points of interest and clearly need there is not composed of group trips by bus and hiring a local taxi driver in Yerevan, Armenia, will and cheaper (around 2000 r. for two) and much more interesting. Prohvatite local flavor and no need to adapt to other tourists and no one you will not limit time. After going to one of the cafes located at the foot of the cliffs, overlooking the Lake, order ear of whitefish and trout skewers (just don't confuse) and under a glass tutovoj vodka draw ... emotion ... p.s. highly recommend a taxi driver named Samvjel with whom we met by chance on the road from the airport to the hostel. A very nice man and an interesting conversationalist who knows about Armenia not much less professional guides (local phone number Samvjela, 077307578)

  • OceanAir Travels guide took us to the Sevan lake in Armenia and guide explains everything about this place in a good and understanding manner. If you want to see the real beauty of Sevan, Visit semi island. I highly recommended OceanAir Travels.
  • Visited the Caucasus and fell in love with Armenia & Georgia, very disappointed with Azerbaijan as they seem to value everything that is new and shiny. Their Aliyev cultural center was a magnificent new building but without any real depth, their focus was claiming the culture of ancient Parthia's, Persians , Armenians & Georgians and seem very hateful especially towards Armenians As a Christian it was a very spiritual trip for me. Both nations are two of the oldest Christian nations in history. My opinion of Azerbaijani Turks as people & nation has taken a serious dive, they seem intent on tarnishing everything to do with Armenia, including the fool here claiming Lake Sevan is Azerbaijani As a teacher I have keen interest of history & Christian history and I find the pathetic claims of marauding nomadic Tartars & Turks who have only decimated, killed & stolen the lands & culture of Armenians, Georgians & now claim it as theirs
  • Hi,Sevan is beautiful place for seeing, so dont wait to long and go there.Above the lake is church, from where you can have a nice look on landscape.
  • Nice calm lake. We visited under very overcast weather and the sky and lake were merging: beautiful. Unfortunately there is a lot of trash floating on it 😣. Many vendors sell fish along the lake and mention the size of the fish between their hands to passerby. Cute and wildly exaggerated!
  • Nice and calm place. Option to have lake side lunch
