Jermuk Waterfall drops gently from a height of 72 m (236 ft) and spills into a river gorge. As is the case with many Armenian natural sites, this one inspired a folktale. Legend has it that the foaming water is the hair of a beautiful princess whose father cursed her to turn into a mermaid if she tried to see her shepherd lover. Unable to stay away from her beloved, the princess tossed her hair into the gorge, which turned into a waterfall. • This waterfall is easily accessible by taxi or your own car. A relatively modest river drops down a steep incline and fans out into a wide curtain of water flowing down the steps.
  • A beautiful waterfall, which is worth a visit. Jermuk is very quiet, peaceful resort town. Reminiscent Of Karlovy Vary

  • Very very nice place but untapped for tourist facilities far from the capital Yerevan for almost three hours.
