Rio Correntoso, Villa La Angostura

4.8
#1 of 30 in Nature in Province of Neuquen
Water Body Nature / Park
Gaze out upon the entirety of Rio Correntoso from just one bridge. One of the world's shortest rivers, the tiny watercourse connects two lakes and only spans about 300 m (984 ft). You can see the amazingly colorful riverbed, covered in exotic plant life, from atop the pedestrian bridge. Keep an eye out for fly-fishermen, who frequent the river in search of large trout. Put Rio Correntoso and other Villa La Angostura attractions into our Villa La Angostura vacation generator, and watch your holiday take shape.

Where to stay in Villa La Angostura

Villa La Angostura's increasing popularity with winter sports enthusiasts from distant corners of the world drives up hotel room prices at the height of the ski season in July and August. Summer (November to February) is equally popular here, and most single rooms book up months in advance. Budget travelers can take advantage of economical hostels or try one of the area's campgrounds--arguably the best way to stay close to Angostura's natural attractions.
