Museo Municipal Ernesto Bachmann, Villa El Chocon
(4.2/5 based on 85+ reviews on the web)
Those interested in dinosaur archeology and history should head to Museo Municipal Ernesto Bachmann, where genuine fossil-recreated models of different species sit alongside informative multimedia presentations. Don't miss the museum's claim to fame: a life-size recreation of the world's largest carnivorous dinosaur, the Giganotosaurus carolinii, discovered just a couple miles from the museum's location. Take a guided tour for an especially engaging trip, though be aware that some staff may speak little English. • From the magnificent history of Campbell and the devilsaur he discovered, the Museum takes visitors into the world of these huge reptiles so simple and addictive.

  • Cute... guy but with a great treasure found by Rubén Carolini on 1993... the Gigantosauros... the largest carnivorous dinosaur... to have lived 97 million years ago... Guided tours and a good didactic proposal for children it is worth knowing it! Very good!

  • Very small. Has small on the road to reach the Museum. An attractive to children. My five-year-old son loved. Small place with only three big dinosaurs. The rest is about the dam next door. As we went on weekday, we took a visit to schools in the region, so crowded!

  • Beautiful place, to go with the family. Very interactive with its interplay of paleontology for the most small.
