Specialty Museum Museum
Those interested in dinosaur archeology and history should head to Museo Municipal Ernesto Bachmann, where genuine fossil-recreated models of different species sit alongside informative multimedia presentations. Don't miss the museum's claim to fame: a life-size recreation of the world's largest carnivorous dinosaur, the Giganotosaurus carolinii, discovered just a couple miles from the museum's location. Take a guided tour for an especially engaging trip, though be aware that some staff may speak little English. Put Museo Municipal Ernesto Bachmann into our Villa El Chocon tour planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Villa El Chocon.

  • This is an amazing Dinosaur Museum which is located about one (1) hour outside of Neuquen Capital City and many people have recommended it to me. They have several rooms with exhibits and replicas on Dinosaurs and there is even a place just a few kilometers away by the Lago Ezequiel Ramos Mexia where you can even see Dinosaur Footprints. Wow! I personally want to Thank Joe and Shelley from the Iglesia Bautista Biblica Church in Neuquen Capital City for taking ME there back on Sunday, April 16, 2017. I personally want to Thank Maria Rosas for the fantastic and detailed tour! I will Never forget this Experience! • If you are interested in dinos you should visit this museum.
  • Great museum, worth a stop if you are going past it.
  • Small museum but well organized. Good presentation and explanations. For children there is the possibility of playing to be a paleontologist x a day. For very little money are given a cute diploma. Highly recommended.

  • January 2015 "A beautiful ride" "is a very nice Museum. The skeletons of dinosaurs are very complete and being on the side makes you take a real dimension of what it could have been live with these animals. Highly recommended and input more than economic." This opinion was migrated from my TripAdvisor and I got a star because you re-evaluate the qualification.
