  • If one in Carlos Paz and takes advantage of to enjoy the view of the San Roque Lake is sure to delight, but you are not seeing the landscape. To the East and surrounding hills, the Lake becomes a major attraction that can be appreciated through the narrow route that it runs its physiognomy surrounding it and going through the wall of the dique San Roque. The vegetation is admirable, flora and fauna are present at any time of the year. Once you reach the dam you can park in one of the few docks and visit the regional jobs which generally have interesting things at affordable prices. After transposing the dike route continues along water while dining rooms offer a dish: silverside, although I went from sit to eat this native fish of the Lake but in fact (according to the waiter) were coming from elsewhere. You must move with caution, the path is narrow and busy. In addition all traffic laws should be followed, the police is always present.

Where to stay in Villa Carlos Paz

Despite its small size, Villa Carlos Paz features a solid array of accommodations thanks to the steady stream of city-slickers looking for a weekend of relaxation. Plenty of larger hotels featuring onsite restaurants, pools, and more upscale furnishings cluster around the highway intersection at the southern tip of the lake. While these obviously get you closer to the downtown nightlife, they generally come with a higher price tag. If you're looking for something a bit more budget-friendly, try renting a room at one of the city's many "cabanas"--smaller, lodge-like hotels farther out from the city center.
