Valley of Wolves, Ushuaia

#11 of 15 in Nature in Ushuaia
Valley Nature / Park
Explore Valley of Wolves, a park with a wide range of natural attractions. Hike or take a 4x4 tour through the diverse landscape of forests, rivers, hills, lagoons, and glaciers. Stop off at the main turquoise lagoon to see the native wildlife, including marine mammals such as otters and beavers. The husky breeding center located in the park introduces you to the lives of the animals, and the people who raise and care for them. Play with the pups and ask the staff about the history of dog-pulled transport on the island, before going for a test drive yourself. Put Valley of Wolves and other Ushuaia attractions into our Ushuaia tour planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • from here we took the road to Emerald Lake, then ate lamb, very good! Divine guide that we had!

  • We visit it at night on a trip. Very quaint and enjoyable. We walked on sledges pulled by dogs and not I was pleased too that several of the dogs were not in good condition and I gave pena. We spent the rest of the stay well.

  • We hire the excursion on "Ushuaia Info" hoping to see another thing, what we did we liked, except for cleaning or maintenance of the dogs that is smell of waste, they felt were in caniles (something logical equally and were broad) food giving them is first rate and are not neglected. I suppose to visit such place in summer, where cleaning conditions others since no freezes the water and that you can bathe them animas, must be another experience. Equally, the human quality of the place is noteworthy, we walk with snowshoes through a Valley, a beautiful experience where we saw the devastation wrought by the Beavers and had lunch in a cabin, food was OK, little time to "play" in the snow with rubber boats and sledges; snowmobile time is limited or rather the circuit could be longer, the same with the dogs, which were eager to pull the sleigh, thing that I reconforto because it possessed some preconceptions with regard to that. A recommended activity the truth.

Where to stay in Ushuaia

Despite its nickname, Ushuaia is certainly not the end of the world when it comes to finding comfortable lodgings--as long as you plan ahead and reserve your room in advance. Hotels and hostels are equally crowded here during the peak season (October to March), so it's advisable to arrive with a solid reservation in hand. If you choose to visit during the winter (June to mid-September), expect to find many establishments closed for the season.
