(3.4/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Explore Valle Tierra Mayor, a protected valley offering many walking routes through its diverse, scenic landscape. Depressed over millennia by glacial movement, the valley consists largely of bogs either side of a main river. Impressive hills and peaks line both sides of the valley, giving plenty of atmosphere to the reserve, and offering impressive scenery for budding nature photographers. • good to visit with snow and related activities, was in October you can see dogs used for sleds and Patagonian lunch, it's not cheap and not the best in the area

  • Winter Center tierra mayor where it is possible to ride a snowmobile. Has the huskies for treno and dogs might find better care in other centres. The casa de apoio offers a bit of everything. Staff very attentive. Views of several landscapes.

  • I visited with my partner the tierra mayor Valley last week. We hired dog sled excursion + bike that is made at night. We pay $2,000 per person hoping to make "The" experience and finish with a rich dinner, but it was a huge disappointment. A priori when you get alert you to you go to the bathroom in the main lounge, because then there is no bathroom. I didn't like the sleigh ride, dogs go along a track and in my poor case had diarrhea so they stood to make their needs and we went to 2 per hour. This tour lasts 15 minutes and then you are going to a sort of hut semi covered with a fireplace in the middle. You sit in circle around the fire and spread you a brochette of chicken, mulled wine, a stew of lentils, and ends with a coffee. All served in cups plastics to dark with the light of the stove... you have there a hour or more with a guitarist that improvises some themes... then them motorcycle of snow make the same tour that the sleigh, going in row and to two by hour... praying not make you pis in the road since not have bath until arrive to your hotel. Personally I didn't like at all State that are dogs, even if they tell me that it is a breed that likes to pull sleds... saw them not at all care. The excursion is very precarious. It is not worth 2 lucas or in pedo.
