  • Excellent idea with all that involve our Malvinas, especially in the city most austral of the world. Achieved very good architectural sense.

  • Square moves, read the names of the fallen, photos of the time, highlighting the faces of the soldiers, the votive fire and its proximity to the Islands, is worthwhile to devote a few minutes to visit them

  • The square is located on AV. Maipú, in front of the Beagle Channel. This square honors the dead of the Falklands war, and at the bottom are the names of soldiers killed during the war. It's a beautiful tribute.

  • Nice homage to war. Can go for a walk around the area
  • Remembrance of the war on the Falklands =Isles Malvinas. Big pictures putted nearby.
  • A monument and memorial with an ever burning pyre to remember the Argentinean soldiers who fell in the Islas Malvinas / Falklands conflict in the short war in 1982. Pictures taken at the time surrounded it.
  • A nice homage to the war. Eerie sight of a stil burning pyre for the fallen ones,
  • There's not much to see: several plaques, surrounding a fire, a sculpture of the Islands and a couple of suggestive poems. For taking some pictures and continue later. It is quite wide and the Beagle Channel view is beautiful.

Where to stay in Ushuaia

Despite its nickname, Ushuaia is certainly not the end of the world when it comes to finding comfortable lodgings--as long as you plan ahead and reserve your room in advance. Hotels and hostels are equally crowded here during the peak season (October to March), so it's advisable to arrive with a solid reservation in hand. If you choose to visit during the winter (June to mid-September), expect to find many establishments closed for the season.
