  • It is valuable and interesting to think this House in the original environment in which was built when the city was less than a small hamlet and jail. Its construction made with several prefabricated parts to enable its rapid conclusion, bearing in mind that the time of veda, winter, prevented from working and also using a craft system to isolate it from cold temperatures.

  • As others have said, the tour in the former House of the Governor is complementary of the Museum of the end of the world, it is free, and is very well maintained. They told us that the gratuity is temporary, and conflicts between the provincial administration and the municipal. At this time there is a room dedicated to exhibiting the remains of a shipwreck who agreed about a year ago. Very well explained with billboards, what is the procedure to find something at the beach that could be remains of a shipwreck, and recovery before display procedures

Where to stay in Ushuaia

Despite its nickname, Ushuaia is certainly not the end of the world when it comes to finding comfortable lodgings--as long as you plan ahead and reserve your room in advance. Hotels and hostels are equally crowded here during the peak season (October to March), so it's advisable to arrive with a solid reservation in hand. If you choose to visit during the winter (June to mid-September), expect to find many establishments closed for the season.
