  • We went to a party, we did not get to the glacier, it rained a lot and we are great, but it is very good to go. Highly recommended

  • The cold and the snow did not allow us to go on the glacier, but the ride was still beautiful in an unusual setting. The guide was able to lead us to the most close and safe.

  • For me, it was the highlight of the trip. The ride itself is a bit tiring, so be prepared for a long walk and steep in parts. I went in October and part of the way I was with and without snow. Did the tour with the Brazilian company in Ushuaia and super recommend! The Guide Sebastian was sensational. Go prepared with different layers of clothes, because we go through different types of environments and climates. It is essential to use a waterproof boots to protect your feet from mud and snow. If you haven't already, there are a few shops in town that rent the material per day did the boots in a rental shop near Agency for 200 pesos. The beginning of the tour is the mob fuegina which is a type of swamp sub-Antarctic and this type of grass/Moss absorbs a lot of water. Part of the way you need to work with your balance on some logs of wood not to bog down the mob. After that part got to the Woods and start to rise, which in parts is more slanted. When I went, we were climbing as much as possible to the edge of the forest of the glacier to where there was snow. The company provides us with some clips to his feet and followed the walk with these feet to facilitate movement in the snow. As we approach the lagoon of Tempanos the sight of the place was amazing. When I went, the pond was frozen and we walk over it with the clips, a super experience different. The landscape there already was breathtaking in all snow-covered Valley. The best is that the ride doesn't end there! We passed by the pond at the base of the glacier. There, our guide Sebastian, started digging a hole in the snow and come across a cave of ice! Sensational! Enjoy to take plenty of pictures inside the cave, rest and enjoy the scenery at the top of the mountain. For me it was the most amazing ride I've done in Ushuaia. For those who like adventure there is no better option!

Where to stay in Ushuaia

Despite its nickname, Ushuaia is certainly not the end of the world when it comes to finding comfortable lodgings--as long as you plan ahead and reserve your room in advance. Hotels and hostels are equally crowded here during the peak season (October to March), so it's advisable to arrive with a solid reservation in hand. If you choose to visit during the winter (June to mid-September), expect to find many establishments closed for the season.
