  • The lagoon of the icebergs is beautiful, and the most beautiful are the caves of ice formed in the glacier Vincinguerra, behind the lagoon? It is a difficult 5-hour walk. But it is worth.

  • I'll start with the positive point of trekking. Without doubt is one of the most beautiful landscapes I had opportunity to meet in Ushuaia, both the Ice Cave and the Laguna Los Tempanos and by the beauty of the scenario that involves the whole trail. Here are the reasons I didn't do this tour be as good as expected: the trail is pretty tiring, has difficulty medium-high in my book (median for guides), and lasts for about 3:30 and 3:00 in the back (these days with totally favourable climatic conditions, without having rained the day before and the day of the tour). But the worst for me were the risks incurred along the path. Many cliffs, especially the piece of stone at the end of the trail, because it was too steep and any inattention to one of the people can be fatal to her (and who is below). The trekking poles did not provide sufficient support, such an inclination of this section. This tour can only be done with a guide, and it is absolutely not recommended for people with difficulty of locomotion, sedentary, elderly people and children. The luck we had was we got a sunny day without having rained the day before. Still, there's a lot of mud and stretches in which you have to cross the water. Therefore, clothing and waterproof footwear are essential. In short, I don't think that all the effort and risk incurred during many hours of trekking worth it compared to the benefit of the goals of the walk (cave and Laguna Los Tempanos).
