Galeria Tematica Historia Fueguina, Ushuaia

4.5
See the lifelike depictions of what the historical region of Argentina looked through the ages at Galeria Tematica Historia Fueguina. Detailed, full-size dioramas show examples of life from indigenous peoples through European colonization. Grab the English audio guide to walk you through each display. Some of the exhibits even allow you to enter and take photos from within. Look for the section that discusses the site's history (it used to be a prison). Afterwards, head to the adjacent art gallery and a shop, which sells souvenirs. If you go with children is boring for them, as it's audio guide either can go talking to who you are!

Reflects in a way very didactic Tierra del Fuego history, represented by models of actual size (scenes) and can enter several of them for a photo. Throughout this tour will be synchronized with an audio that is narrating the scene in question. I thought it was very good ride. The super recommend. Ah go with minimum of 2 hours to avoid problems with travel time or the get photos.

Walk gorgeous but expensive for what it offers. I would recommend it be cheaper. All figures natural size and history of Ushuaia told by an MP3 player. Well made dolls but not worth the expense. There is a documentary every hour. This documentary more than the rest of the display. Go to the back yard of the business that is under the gallery and ahorrense 250 pesos per person (if they are Argentine).

It is a great place. Especially the tour that can be on floors 1 and 2 is very good to learn about the history of the province.

Excellent the scenery, very well achieved, travel is done with audio single story that one can pause, fast-forward or rewind as you need. It tells the story of Ushuaia since its inception. Price chord adult tour which lasts 1 h drive, ranging in time devoted each to take pictures. Recommended for use with children since they play all the time. Children under 12 years do not pay.

Very nice experience that allows you to learn about the history of tierra del fuego in a more entertaining way. You can take several pictures and perform at the rate of one run. A job very well done.

Where to stay in Ushuaia

Despite its nickname, Ushuaia is certainly not the end of the world when it comes to finding comfortable lodgings--as long as you plan ahead and reserve your room in advance. Hotels and hostels are equally crowded here during the peak season (October to March), so it's advisable to arrive with a solid reservation in hand. If you choose to visit during the winter (June to mid-September), expect to find many establishments closed for the season.
