Galeria Tematica Historia Fueguina, Ushuaia

4.6
See the lifelike depictions of what the historical region of Argentina looked through the ages at Galeria Tematica Historia Fueguina. Detailed, full-size dioramas show examples of life from indigenous peoples through European colonization. Grab the English audio guide to walk you through each display. Some of the exhibits even allow you to enter and take photos from within. Look for the section that discusses the site's history (it used to be a prison). Afterwards, head to the adjacent art gallery and a shop, which sells souvenirs. Make Galeria Tematica Historia Fueguina a part of your Ushuaia vacation plans using our Ushuaia itinerary maker tool .

  • Has a top at the bottom of this gallery with various options for those who like fotozinhas. I can buy a lot of pampering to take the ones

  • Personally I did not like much, I thought it was heavy. Video that passed seemed like the only thing that was worth it, very exciting. If you want to deepen the history of the city, I recommend it.

  • I loved visiting this Museum! Tells the story of Ushuaia from their locals. On the tour you get like a flash drive with the recording explaining all the areas of the Museum as you go visiting. The recording is going to directing to the attractions and in some you can interact with the scenery and take a picture. Watched a documentary about the history of Ushuaia in the Museum. The Gallery also has a rooftop bar and a shop on the ground floor. Worth the visit, recommend!

  • Very good. A very well done site. It is a ride that you should visit.

  • Beautiful place! If you pass by TdF, it is essential to go through there. And if you're a resident by choice can not ignore its history!

  • It is a great place. Especially the tour that can be on floors 1 and 2 is very good to learn about the history of the province.

Where to stay in Ushuaia

Despite its nickname, Ushuaia is certainly not the end of the world when it comes to finding comfortable lodgings--as long as you plan ahead and reserve your room in advance. Hotels and hostels are equally crowded here during the peak season (October to March), so it's advisable to arrive with a solid reservation in hand. If you choose to visit during the winter (June to mid-September), expect to find many establishments closed for the season.
