Canal Beagle, Ushuaia

(4.6/5 based on 5,500+ reviews on the web)
While it might sound like a television network dedicated to videos of adorable dogs, Canal Beagle is actually a strait at the extreme southern tip of South America. The channel offers excellent wildlife watching, with plenty of cormorants and sea lions populating its waters. You can take a boat cruise to explore glacial offshoots and wild southern landscapes close to the edge of the continent, beyond which only Antarctica lies. • We chose the long option (up to Martillo Island), and enjoyed it from start to finish. We had a sunny day without wind (the few that exist in Ushuaia). The landscapes are spectacular. The (very cute) catamaran is approaching the Islands and remains a standing time, so everyone can enjoy the spectacle of the wolves or the birds. For the Penguin Colony we saw a whale, and the captain followed awhile so we can enjoy its beauty. A trip not to be missed.

  • The Beagle Channel navigation options are many; the longer (in time) reaches the Martillo Island (Penguin), before touring the island of birds, sea lions, Les Eclaireurs lighthouse, etc...

  • We had a nice day, with grey skies but no wind or rain. We travel with the company Canoero, which makes Discount Auto partner Argentine club. It is a large and beautiful catamaran, very comfortable and spacious. It has tables to take a good breakfast with croissants, for example... Through the channel to the lighthouse at Les Eclerers poorly called Lighthouse Dolphin delmundo, since the real is currently in "Isla de los Estados" of military and scientific occupation exclusively. Great boat approaches the Islands with cormorants, seals, Petrels, and other Antarctic zonal animals. The attention on board very good and very good the guided tour. You can not let go.
