On a tour of the southernmost city in the world, stop by Bahia Encerrada, an artificial bay on the shore of the Beagle Channel. Enjoy the views of snowcapped mountains, glaciers, and the city reflected in the still, icy water. Take a relaxing walk along the shore, snap some photos of the nature, and see the boats coming in from the channel. The bay is home to a variety of seabirds, and is near the city center and the Ushuaia airport. Inspirock's itinerary builder makes planning a Ushuaia trip simple and quick.

  • The location is between the old airport and the city and the road that comes from the old airport that defined this name because it separated the Ushuaia Bay, the Valley site by the view of the city, the mountains and the Bay of Ushuaia (near the old airport)

  • It is a place in the heart of the city with an incredible view! Cute to go out and walk around between hiking and excursion, taking photos, both towards the canal, the mountains either facing the city. But I am very sorry the smell to cloaca is perceived in that area and in many places of the city. It cannot be that they throw away sewage waste into the Bay! You have to solve urgent!

Where to stay in Ushuaia

Despite its nickname, Ushuaia is certainly not the end of the world when it comes to finding comfortable lodgings--as long as you plan ahead and reserve your room in advance. Hotels and hostels are equally crowded here during the peak season (October to March), so it's advisable to arrive with a solid reservation in hand. If you choose to visit during the winter (June to mid-September), expect to find many establishments closed for the season.
