  • We had a great time at the museum. The owners are full of knowledge & history. We found it interesting and they have unusual exhibits.
  • Fantastic collection of cetacean bones and other sea mammals, some, like the beaked whales, are quite rare. But what makes it especially important is that it's a working lab, where volunteer scientists clean and study the remains of the species that wash up on nearby shores. We loved the tour (and we don't do tours!), and enjoyed peppering the scientists with questions. Very friendly, English-speaking, welcoming and incredibly informative. The museum is worth the trip down the excellent gravel road, all by itself.
  • The museum is worth a visit when you're at Harberton Ranch. If you take the guided tour, they will guide you around an active biologists centre where they recover bones from creatures such as whales, dolphins and sea lions. Really interesting!
  • Amazing place to go when visiting Isla Martillo, the guides are really kind and the tour is incredibly interesting. We could learn a lot of new stuff about sea mammals. The guides are all voluntary biologists and they do an amazing job there.
  • Amazin work of volunteers to keep the place. The tour guides of the museums are really knowledgeable and passionate about their work. Our tour guide, who was one of the managers there, nailed every single question our group asked. I learned a lot. Tours in english and Spanish were easy to follow. The collection is displayed nicely and it is easy to relate the real animal and the museum is organized and clean. It is a great stop after visiting the penguin island. I hope they get more funds to help them increase their collection and improve their work conditions.
