  • While we had a planned 3 intermediate nights our long ride from the southern glaciers to Bariloche in the North, one of which is in Esquel. Since the ride about the RN40 was much better than intended to complete (is paved up to on a few sections, road in excellent condition with little traffic), we already arrived in the early afternoon. We were therefore a visit to the nature reserve about 40 kilometres from "NAnt y fall". The last kilometers were this gravel road, which was good to go. At the entrance there is a small Ranger Station with parking. We were the only car and wanted to pay the entrance fee of 100 ARS at the Ranger. This told us that we would be in the preseason and the admission would therefore still free - a nice surprise. The landscaped path is not very long, maximum one kilometer. Several wooden platforms affords beautiful views of the falls and the Gorge. After several weeks of tour of Patagonia, we had seen much more spectacular things, but still it was nice. We enjoyed the great weather for a while on a bench and drove about an hour back to Esquel.

  • Going to Futaleufu, we deviate 4 km to see the waterfalls. Really very nice and all, beware wood paths by which access is very simple. Travel is short, even for those who are just passing and over time.

  • As I say in the title, should be consulted before arriving since sometimes there are times of drought and there is so much water... And you can bring a little bit of disappointment as it has happened; also the place is magical, it is a spectacular and very generous of hundreds of flora. Listen to the silence is something amazing, and feel the aromas of the forest. The circuit takes about 30-40 minutes always going by walkways... . Perhaps this takes away a bit of freedom and no you can tour plus a penalty. At least in February, free entry.
