Geologic Formation
Explore the huge picturesque red-yellow cliffsides and canyons at Valle de Los Altares. Giant rock formations make up the valley's topography, set within an arid region of Patagonia almost completely bare of vegetation. Look for numerous sites where Welsh colonizers once dwelled in the area. Consider taking an informative guided tour of the valley; you'll gain a better understanding of the land and its history, including the rock markings made here millennia ago by indigenous peoples.
