  • Through vehicle Salar (in parts the path is somewhat damaged and you need to go slowly) made aware of how big that is. It crosses to visit the famous cone of Arita. High winds in the afternoon makes at certain times of the year look Brown better and not so white as one imagines it. Not lose the typical photo of the poster of the salt with the cow skull.

  • The Salar de Arizaro is the largest in Argentina, with an area of 1,600 km2, and an altitude of 3,460 meters. Left of Tolar Grande and we headed towards the West by around 15 km. By this road is can see different volcanoes as the Socompa and the Aracar, that form part of the six thousand, since we were near the border with Chile. We then took southbound until you reach the cone of Arita, conical apparent which is located at the southern end of the Salt Lake, near the province of Catamarca. Here we stopped to bring us more to the cone. It should be noted that out of the way fossil salt is a hardness similar to stone, irregular, and with sharp edges that can damage the shoe. Then continue until a mine of Onyx that already not is exploited to have a vision more complete of the Salar and the cone. The cone is majestic and the view from there is shocking, as all the environment with them different colors and contrasts.
