The Devil's Throat, Tilcara
(4.2/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web)
Trek through rugged, dry terrain to arrive at The Devil's Throat, a waterfall carved into the rocks of a deep red canyon. Don't be intimidated by the steep beginning of the roughly 7 km (4.3 mi) hike from Tilcara--once you conquer the first section, the track flattens out. After you appreciate the tumbling cascade, look out from the waterfall's base to enjoy a breathtaking view of Quebrada de Humahuaca Gorge and the soaring, icy peak behind it. Bring adequate snacks, water, and sun protection, as you might struggle to find shade during the walk. Plan your visit to The Devil's Throat and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Province of Jujuy vacation generator.

  • Beautiful place! You have to go down a road marking but then you have to walk following the river. We took us 1 HR 30 aprox. It is not difficult, you have to be willing to cross the river. The waterfall is beautiful, the way to reach it is divine! You can take things and spend the whole day there. There is a viewpoint to go also, but if someone suffers from vertigo not I recommend it.
