The Devil's Throat, Tilcara

Waterfall
Trek through rugged, dry terrain to arrive at The Devil's Throat, a waterfall carved into the rocks of a deep red canyon. Don't be intimidated by the steep beginning of the roughly 7 km (4.3 mi) hike from Tilcara--once you conquer the first section, the track flattens out. After you appreciate the tumbling cascade, look out from the waterfall's base to enjoy a breathtaking view of Quebrada de Humahuaca Gorge and the soaring, icy peak behind it. Bring adequate snacks, water, and sun protection, as you might struggle to find shade during the walk. • The poster where you had to start up equally Fortunately, not because we would seize the night we got we didn't see wanting to go walking. It is a walk to day. The next day take a remiss in the town square which took us by an alternative pathway since the original road was closed due to landslides. The descent took us about 50 minutes.

  • This devil is in Tilcara's throat. We left late so we did not get to it but the way has a beautiful landscape, this cut for cars by a collapse so you have to climb on foot, isn't easy for children and the elderly, very loose stone, all uphill, but take out very good pictures and although not reaching the waterfall is a good walk and there are great views.

  • I was the Devil's throat hoping a towering waterfall that was worth the effort of the climb of the car + walk there. Frustrated me by the low volume of water that fell when I visited.
