Museo Posta de Los Hornillos, Tilcara

(3.9/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
If you’re a history or architecture buff, make a point to stop by Museo Posta de Los Hornillos. Built in 1772, the postal station dates from the colonial era and was an important station in the battle for independence. Visit the museum inside to view relics from colonial times, including art, furniture, weapons, and tools. Many heroes of the independence rested here after battling against the royalists, such as General Manuel Belgrano. You can view some interesting letters belonging to Belgrano, as well as the bed he slept in while he was there. A small chapel stands nearby as well, but it can only be viewed from the outside. • Historical Posta last before joining the Alto Peru. Throughout the campus is full of history. It is a wonderful place and little-known by the people. From their trees centenaries to the chapel. Was step bound to let prisoners, eat and change horses. 100% recommended your visit and broadcast.
