#1 of 8 in Museums in Tigre
Housed in an impressive building, Museo de arte Tigre combines art with stunning architecture. The museum finds its home in a former social club for elite Argentines, an elegant example of neo-classical architecture. Notice the luxurious details like iron gates, red oak floors, and bronze and gold leaf decorations. The museum changes exhibitions regularly, so there’s always something new to see, from sculptures to paintings. The main collection features Argentine art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The lawns surrounding the museum rival the sights inside, with leafy trees, and well-kept gardens. • Excellent preserved. You can see the conception with which it was built in another time where this type of luxurious facilities were required and especially with well-built architectural styles to perform social events.

  • Its a nice museum wuth a fine art expo. It is a gorgeous building with nice gardens and great view to the La Plata river
  • The 19th century Tigre Club was transformed into the Tigre Museum of Fine Art in 1998. The Club was built to promote recreation and sports - in particular rowing and tennis. It’s an outstanding example of French neo-classical architecture. The promenade that juts out from the second floor is amazing and so is the art inside.
  • pretty building and average art. I wouldn't visit for the art. the building, especially the exterior is a sight to behold. the interior could use some refurbishing. it's probably the most interesting sight in tigre. one can see all there tigre has to offer in three hours.
  • The crown jewel of any trip to Tigre. Beautiful architecture accessible to the public and a recently inaugurated top floor where the astounding Main Hall harbors the main exhibits and the Pasarela which allows you to walk right to the edge of the Luján River in style. The art reflects a variety of national landscapes and is definitely worth the trip.
  • It is a beautiful spot on the river side you must visit to know some about history and enjoy its lovely architecture.
