Museo de arte Tigre, Tigre

Housed in an impressive building, Museo de arte Tigre combines art with stunning architecture. The museum finds its home in a former social club for elite Argentines, an elegant example of neo-classical architecture. Notice the luxurious details like iron gates, red oak floors, and bronze and gold leaf decorations. The museum changes exhibitions regularly, so there’s always something new to see, from sculptures to paintings. The main collection features Argentine art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The lawns surrounding the museum rival the sights inside, with leafy trees, and well-kept gardens. • Travel much on Europe. I met museums, palaces, but the MAT has nothing to envidairles. Start your outdoor: architectural style, parks and gardens, laa beauty of the river. Very valuable its temporary and itinerant artistic samples. I feel proud as a tigrense, of having a work of art like this so close

Where to stay in Tigre

Tigre and its delta surroundings are chock-full of choices for accommodations thanks to their popularity with visitors both foreign and domestic. The city center around the Tigre River features a number of smaller-scale apartments and family-run bed and breakfasts, while the areas closer to the delta itself are more beach-oriented. If you're looking to enjoy the area's famously lush nature, check out a "cabana"--these rustic cabins are omnipresent in the forests and marshes around town, and allow you to wake up with the canals and trees of the delta right at your doorstep. Since many of these countryside accommodations are only accessible by boat, they usually provide most meals. Keep in mind that more rustic charm in this case can also mean hordes of mosquitos at night.
