Delta El Tigre, Tigre

(4.2/5 based on 2,400+ reviews on the web)
Explore a vast network of waterways and canals at Delta El Tigre, one of the region's most important former trading ports. Formed by the combination of the Parana River and several smaller streams, the delta long served as an outlet for the wood and fruit trade from the interior. Hop aboard one of the delta's many boat tours to explore the lush nature up close and get a glimpse of colonial-era mansions, waterfront settlements, and other landmarks along the way. Alternatively, you can rent a kayak or canoe to paddle along at your own pace, an activity popular with many weekend-trippers from the capital.
