Cristo de las Sierras, Tandil

4.0
The statue of Jesus Christ at Cristo de las Sierras towers over visitors at 15 m (49.2 ft) tall and sits on a hill overlooking the city. The ascent requires a somewhat arduous trek up the hill, but there are benches along the path. Created by artist Fernando "Tirso" Pavolini, the statue stands with its arms outstretched. Take photos with the statue and view the panoramic scenes of the surrounding mountains, city, and lake. The area offers no shade, so bring a hat, parasol, or something else to provide protection from the sun. • We went on family to walk one Sunday morning. Walk more beautiful Tandil in my opinion. The path of ascent is very careful. The views are very nice. The level of difficulty is low if you take it calm and without trouble. They are each 15/20 from the base to the Christ. Bring water in the backpack. It does not charge entry but drinks stalls there or anything. Super recommended.

  • This is a walk recently opened. A simile a "Christ Redeemer" more small and in the middle of the sierras of Tandil. It has a beautiful view, this excellently-maintained road. It has a parking lot at the entrance (which is free) but the rise is something arduous since access to the only Christ walk. It has no restaurant, no shops, so it is important to be prepared. Does not require too much time rise. 20 minutes at a good pace.

  • The place chosen for the monument is privileged, since the place Gets a panoramic view of the city and its mountains. It can be reached after a short walk. It is recommended to bring sunscreen. The shade is scarce in the place.

  • Beautiful view!. She is 680 meters uphill. There are no stairs there are some other very steep ascent. I made it up to my son in the stroller and it required much effort. It was definitely worth it.
