Castillo Morisco, Tandil

3.9
Local tourists flock to Castillo Morisco for the unusual architecture, reasonably priced food, and panoramic views from the top of the building. The building itself, modeled after a Spanish castle, was donated to the area by the Spanish community in the early 20th century. The onsite restaurant serves affordable, no-nonsense food such as pizzas, hamburgers, fries, and several pasta dishes. The main draw here remains the stunning alfresco views afforded from the seating areas. Ask Inspirock to suggest an itinerary and make planning a trip to Tandil fast, fun, and easy.

  • beautiful view if subis Castle! you see the city from above! Lots of green and beautiful monuments. The only thing the public baths that are on the side... outside of the Castle they are pitiful!

  • There's nothing special. It can be reached by car, but you can not enter. It's locked. The place is well maintained but with the bare minimum.

  • This castle which is located in the Parque Independencia, was donated by the Spanish community and is a beautiful building that we were lucky enough to visit. It is easily accessible by car and is also a perfect place to take outstanding photos.

  • It's undergoing renovations
  • Very nice view of Tandil
  • Beautiful location and view of the city of Tandil...! Tandil cannot be visited without passing through this place. Visit obliged. The most beautiful views of the city, both day and night...! Very low or no maintenance of the place. It seems abandoned... It is regrettable. But beyond that, is a very nice place to visit

  • It is a must-visit place where from its elevated position you can see the entire city! The way to get is good and nice! very close to the Centre. As the Bar is right and excellent care! but lacks variety and design in general to make it a gourmet place according to what represents the Morisco.

Where to stay in Tandil

Thanks to Tandil's popularity as a weekend and holiday destination for domestic and international tourists alike, it features a wide array of accommodation options suitable for just about any budget. Downtown you'll find a number of larger-scale hotels and rental apartments that offer privacy, onsite dining, and fancier accoutrements catering to business travelers and tourists. In order to get out into nature, many visitors opt for "cabanas," traditional Argentine cabins in the surrounding countryside; bear in mind that these are rustic and charming but only practical if you have access to a car. Booking ahead of time in the summer high season is an absolute must in Tandil, as lodgings fill up fast.
