Iglesia San Francisco, Santa Fe

Religious Site
Admire the early colonial church and attached museum at Iglesia San Francisco. Dating back to the 17th century, the church displays a humble facade, with whitewashed walls and an attractive bell tower to one side of the main entrance. Step inside and look up to see the intricately woven roof, made without nails by the indigenous population. The attached museum displays artifacts from around the town, with a good collection of colonial weaponry, clothing, and handicrafts. • The Church of San Francisco is a religious, cultural icon, a heritage! Its Museum, its walls, its structure, work on wood. Always seems to have been forgotten by those who have an obligation to keep it standing. Every day, thousands of faithful attend his masses!
