Pay your respects to Oscar Romero, a prominent human rights activist, at Catedral de San Salvador de Jujuy. Romero, the former Archbishop of El Salvador and a leading pacifist voice against the military's killing of civilians during the 60s and 70s, was assassinated in 1980 during mass, and laid to rest in the cathedral. Today, visitors flock to the cathedral's crypt to pay tribute to Romero. Also take a moment to admire the paintings displayed on the cathedral's largely white walls. • Very impressive cathedral, extremely careful, neat, looks great. Its blue ceiling, is striking as forming a Blue Dome. Very beautiful the Virgin de la Candelaria and the Rosary!

  • Bella... harmonious... stop for tourists. And place of great peace for the Catholics. Located in the Centre, opposite the main square (keep in mind that if you travel at Easter is almost impossible to enter, since it tends to be crowded of faithful. For other days not forgetting that in the interior of the country, everything closes at naptime. It is worth visiting it!
