Los Reyunos Dam, San Rafael
(4.2/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
View the powerful Los Reyunos Dam and take part in outdoor activities along its reservoir. This embankment dam on the Diamante River was constructed entirely of stone and clay to keep costs down. At 136 m (440 ft) high, this Argentinian structure is a visible landmark along the river, and sits only 35 km (22 mi) from the city. Take in panoramas of this manmade wonder, which works to generate hydroelectricity. If you're looking for adventure, head to the nearby fishing club on the resevoir's western shore where you can hike, windsurf, canoe, and fish. • I did it with a half-day excursion. I went on the catamaran, along the Lake that is also more or less blue according to the time of day you can do something similar to the Zipline, canoeing, diving. I loved it.

  • He reservoir them Reyunos is the site ideal to enjoy of the nature during a day full for those that like of water, the vegetation, the flowers and the singing and watching of birds. It is reached by paved road in less than 1 hour's drive from San Rafael. I recommend you just come take advantage to learn the levees Galileo Vitale and El Tigre, this last is worth know it by its beautiful landscape. From there go to the Los Reyunos dam where is hydroelectric and spend the day we went to camping "Club Nautico and fishing Los Reyunos". The campsite is reached by gravel road in good condition and passable for small vehicles (went on a Clio) after doing some kilometers. Admission is $30 per person and has all the facilities to enjoy the day, resting places and tables for lunch, to trails/roads for hiking and enjoy different views of the Lake.

  • No doubt a visit forced in San Rafael, as well as the Atuel Canyon and big Valley. If they have to prioritize some Los Reyunos visit remains in third place compared to these last two, but if you have time really is very cute.
