Museo del sitio Batalla de la Vuelto de Obligado, San Pedro

#3 of 6 in Things to do in San Pedro
Visit Museo del sitio Batalla de la Vuelto de Obligado and learn about the 1845 battle, which took place on the shores of the Parana river. The British and French alliance was driven back from here after a failed attempt to penetrate the area to extend the alliance's economic interests. Take a walk through the park and find a museum which exhibits bullets, cannons, rifles, murals, and other objects from the battle. Continue strolling through the park to find a circular fence, which is made of large linked chains. Notice a red artistic piece next to the fence- this is Roses Creole, leader of the defense against the invading forces. • During the visit, I felt a true relive history. The facts is really very well told either at the Museum or in the historical reviews of the panels. The visit with a historical representation of the fact could be improved with actors.

  • Small museum with a video. They charge 15 weights and free retirees. It has few things, diri6casi nothing. It is worth paying to keep the other monuments.

  • The place has good access, but lack more signs of the historic place. And of the importance that had the battle for our country in the 19th century.
