Museo Buque ARA General Irigoyen, San Pedro

(3.3/5 based on 80+ reviews on the web)
Museo Buque ARA General Irigoyen, a U.S. military ship sold to the Argentinian Navy in 1961, now serves as naval museum. The ship served briefly in World War II and during the Falklands war and was decommissioned in 2009 with 400,000 miles sailed. The whole ship is open for visitors, above and below deck. Children will love the tour as they man the cannons and deck guns, without any ammunition of course, or check out the captain's cabin and take the helm of the warship. • We went to visit the ship a Wednesday and was closed... We went to the Secretary of tourism and got schedules... Thursday to Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00 hs went Thursday to the 14.. and was closed... When we come to find out, inside of the boat heard Cumbia blare... And we did not hear... It was a disappointment, especially for children...

  • Notice Irigoyen made many campaigns in the South of Argentina. YOU lack open a better traveled and substantially improve its maintenance. There is a huge enthusiasm to succeed.
