Museo Buque ARA General Irigoyen, San Pedro

Museo Buque ARA General Irigoyen, a U.S. military ship sold to the Argentinian Navy in 1961, now serves as naval museum. The ship served briefly in World War II and during the Falklands war and was decommissioned in 2009 with 400,000 miles sailed. The whole ship is open for visitors, above and below deck. Children will love the tour as they man the cannons and deck guns, without any ammunition of course, or check out the captain's cabin and take the helm of the warship. • We saw it from the outside, since we left to walk without money and charge entry. It is certainly a good ride if you're with guys. It is located near a camping area.

  • It is a place to visit, especially with kids, to know the history of this ship, which is very well explained by the Lady charged a nominal input of 100 pesos per 2 adults (children do not pay) and the brochures that delivers the same. You can go in its entirety and take photos from wherever. It's all very well preserved. Place of preferred ride.

  • The truth is a very nice visit to go in San Pedro since one can see and touch everything in the rooms and the ARA recobecos General Irigoyen. Missing a maintenance but everything else is impeccable.
