Pay tribute to the birthplace of a nation at Casa Historica de Tucuman. Visit the house where Argentina officially declared independence from Spanish rule on July 9, 1816, and learn about the struggles the fledgling nation had to overcome. Now a museum dedicated to the signing of the declaration of independence, the unassuming white house--built, ironically, by colonial rulers--hosts independence celebrations every year on July 9.
