#8 of 27 in Outdoors in San Martin de los Andes
Be sure to pack your camera as you head to Mirador Arrayanes, an excellent vantage point looking out over San Martin de los Andes. The lookout point sits above one of Patagonia’s most picturesque cities, with views of the crystal clear Lake Lacar, framed by rolling green hills, all contrasted with the modern, Latin-flavored, urban architecture of the city. Grab a tea cake from one of the concession stands near the viewpoint to add to your experience. Plan your visit to Mirador Arrayanes and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our San Martin de los Andes holiday planner.

The viewpoint is about 5 km from where the path begins. After a km not gave more and just step a taxi and we came to the viewpoint. an incredible view of the city, exudes peace. beautiful and cute to go at sunset

Beautiful panoramas. There is a viewpoint to a kilometer from the pier, very nice for walking. But the viewpoint arrayan is very difficult to walk. They are 5 km and the last 3 are in steep slope. A taxi that passed we had to help the last stretch. But reaching the viewpoint is beautiful. And Crown the ascent into the House of you is not to be missed!

Reach the Arrayan viewpoint would be better on foot or by bicycle! the road is fairly deteriorated (Earth and gravel road) to go by car. It is picturesque, well you can see the entire city of San Martín de los Andes and the Lacar Lake. Little signposted and vantage points that are 3 at different levels and for me stops are at the level of construction than other tourist places of San Martin, however, is worth get up to there and enjoy the view.

Great panoramic views of the lake and San Martin de Los Andes. Easy accesible by car, approx 4km from the exit of the town. Don't miss the sign on the right in a big left turn. Hint : after the Mirador continue 500m to find la "Casa de te"! Check it out on g maps.

Where to stay in San Martin de los Andes

Only a small portion of San Martin de los Andes actually touches Lake Lacar, but it's there that most of the best accommodations can be found. Cozy ski chalets and lodges make up the majority of places to stay here, although a few budget hostels offer something for travelers with limited means. During peak times, the town center can get quite noisy at night. Stay a few minutes out of town for a quieter experience with memorable views.
