Iglesia San Jose, San Martin de los Andes

4.1
#3 of 6 in Historic Sites in Province of Neuquen
Smooth lines and a warm atmosphere lend Iglesia San Jose an inviting quality that welcomes one to reflect and meditate here. The church is modern in its design, with unique rounded-wood panelling throughout. Below the rounded wood ceiling, you'll find rows of matching pews, all facing a rounded altar. From the exterior, the church bears a single, white, imposing bell tower. As the centrepiece of the village, the church provides a local feel to it and provides a sense of familiarity. Iglesia San Jose is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, San Martin de los Andes Edition.

One block from the Municipal building, on the intersection of the street Drury Street rock this parish named St. Joseph Church Centre. With a great building simplicity on the outside it is worth getting to know its interior, with a large central nave and an altar that looks like to be the top of a large rock formation. Daily, especially Sundays, meetings are held here different for Catholic parishioners. Make someone tell you about the great story of as had to reinforce the tower to house its great Bell Tower and details of its foundation.

It is the typical Church of Patagonia, with a remarkable construction. Passing out appears that it was closed, but only has to come and open the door (cold temperatures force to close to keep the internal heating). Within it you will find banners with Bishop Jaime de Nevares, history worthy of knowing.

Iglesia San Jose, San Martin De Los Andes, Neuquen Argentina I have promoted this church before and I have to say that I am so Blessed to Not only know this church, but to stay there. They have about 40 beds upstairs and since I am a Volunteer, Unpaid Tourism Promoter with Google, Tripadvisor, Facebook and Youtube, I do Not get paid for my work! However, the Lord was Good To Me and I was granted permission to stay here long enough to finish promoting All Of The Rest Of Beautiful San Martin De Los Andes, Neuquen Argentina. I have pretty much stayed here from about the Very Beginning Of June of 2017 up to June 9th, 2017. I want to personally Thank Carlos Inchauspe from the Desarrollo Social for All Of His Help and of course...One Big Thanks To Padre Fernando as well for allowing ME to stay in his Very Beautiful and Peaceful Church! God Bless Them and God Bless Iglesia San Jose! Sincerely yours, Howard Paul Shore Visitor Executive, Volunteer Writer For Google, Tripadvisor, Facebook and Youtube Websites /HPS

Where to stay in San Martin de los Andes

Only a small portion of San Martin de los Andes actually touches Lake Lacar, but it's there that most of the best accommodations can be found. Cozy ski chalets and lodges make up the majority of places to stay here, although a few budget hostels offer something for travelers with limited means. During peak times, the town center can get quite noisy at night. Stay a few minutes out of town for a quieter experience with memorable views.
