  • The river is pretty clear... deep... you can swim... large stones ideal for sunbathing... The spotless bathrooms of the campsite.., there are grills and tables... again no doubt!

  • We walked the first two "descents" River: first descent: Municipal Camping: is the more near San Marcos Sierras, has a cost of $25 per person (on day of week, the weekend not us charging anyone) and is the more comfortable and practical, easy to access and with a depth of water that can reach the waist of an adult. The natural setting, with the curve of the river between the mountain ranges, is unbeatable. Services can be improved, the baths are in poor condition, the supply do not give desire to buy anything. As well and everything is ideal to bring own supplies, chairs, and spend the day. Second down: "Uncle Rico" camping, to about 3-4 km from the first, has a cost of $70 per car, the bathrooms are well maintained, very basic services. The problem of this campsite is that the depth of water is minimal, and downhill to the River are very uncomfortable, the decline is very pronounced and is complicated and out of the water. Here you will find the second "pool", but to get there you have to walk around 400 meters between stones, resulting in that if you want to access the river where it has sufficient depth, it is really a safari. In short, "Rich uncle" is the worst option, complicated and tortuous access to the River, only recommended if you want a bit of adventure.

  • Very nice resort on the banks of the Rio Quilpo, has health and dining. They charge you 30 handles per person to enter, but it is worthwhile. The spectacular river.
