  • The Cathedral is located on 25 de Mayo square in the center of the city. It is a modern building which was opened in 1979 in replacement of the old cathedral which was destroyed by the earthquake of 1944. The building is simple and has a nice architecture. It has stone walls laja, a portal of bronze carved with bas-reliefs and cover two waters. The Bell Tower, with brick walls has around 50 m high and is separated from the main body of the Church. It has a central nave and two side separated by columns, being the very sober interior, with a simple altar and a modern organ. In the basement you can visit the crypt that holds the funerary monument of Fray just Santa Maria de Oro and some bishops.

  • Very nice this Cathedral with touches of architecture today but very cute! Facing the plaza 25 de mayo. The principal of the city of San Juan.
