Catedral de San Isidro, San Isidro
Categories: Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
A stunning example of Neo-gothic architecture, Catedral de San Isidro sits in a plaza in the city’s historic quarter. The cathedral was designed by French architects and inaugurated in 1898. At 68 m (223 ft) tall, you’ll be able to see the cathedral’s tower as you approach from a distance. Watch as sunlight streams through stained-glass windows and notice the impressive organ in the cathedral’s upper level. Outside you can take a seat in the square to appreciate the rock-and-brick exterior, or grab a bite in the nearby restaurant. Beautiful cathedral in the center of San Isidro. Definitely worth visiting, and is right in front of Plaza Mitre, where there can often be vendors of foods, art, and souvenirs.
Imponente catedral con una arquitectura increíble.

Beautiful Cathedral, a must for anyone visiting the zone. It has been renovated in the last couple years, so it can be seen its all its splendor. As with most Cathedrals, the entrance is free of charge and can be accessed at any time, except when there is a wedding. It is a good plan to come to the cathedral on a weekend as there is also a fair in the park across from it, where you can look at and buy some local artwork.
Me encantó conocerla!!
