Share in the life and times of a national institution and hero at Horacio Quiroga Home. The famous 19th- and 20th-century playwright, poet, and short story produced many nationally loved works. The pleasant walk through a sugarcane plantation leading to the house features small kiosks detailing Quiroga's life. Don't miss the chance to see some of his old possessions, which double as interesting period pieces: a camera, a bicycle, and even a butterfly collection. Be aware that staff here don't speak much English. For Horacio Quiroga Home and beyond, use our San Ignacio itinerary maker to get the most from your San Ignacio vacation.

  • It is very little house and furniture original but just as worth going. Very well made reconstruction and the ambience of the House s. On the other hand the way to get this poorly signposted and is ground. It's a nice walk.
