Explore the tip of Argentina's Atlantic coast at Punta Rasa, an area characterized by tidal beaches, sand dunes, and avian life. Admire the changing, sea-beaten topography of the area, and spot migratory birds stopping here to rest and feed. Look out for plovers, gulls, swallows, owls, hummingbirds, and woodpeckers. You can also hone your windsurfing skills here, or try kitesurfing for the very first time. Where to stay in San Clemente del Tuyu

An established resort town along the Partido de la Costa, San Clemente del Tuyu has a good number of accommodations, with the most sought-after options located (naturally) as close to the Atlantic as possible. Along the coastal road and just behind, find towering high-rise hotels with private swimming pools and restaurants, as well as a few more casual, family-run options. Move farther from the sea to discover a decent number of rental apartments--ideal if planning a longer stay in town--and the occasional backpacker hostel.

  • We loved the place that is very unique. This is where the river Rio de la Plata meets the Atlantic ocean. Great for fishing, kitesurfing, seashell picking and the day trips.  more »
  • A good place to observe birds and know the exact geography of the area, abused by municipality of San Clemente, who has it in a total abandonment, rather should put some security and municipality clean beaches that will enough people and as always no city or respect nothing, before there was Park Ranger, not be what happened now...

  • To enjoy the nature and the confluence of the river and the sea. The only place on the coast where you can see the sunrise and the sunset over the sea. If going good early in the morning can pick up snails of all sizes.
