Isla Victoria, San Carlos de Bariloche

Surrounded by the waters of Nahuel Huapi Lake, Isla Victoria offers the chance to explore an island sanctuary covered by a thick forest. Hop aboard one of the boat tour operators in the area and enjoy the short ride out to the island, which provides sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and hills. Once on the island, you can hike or take a tour, or simply kick back with a picnic. You'll find many species of plant and animal life here, including sequoia, eucalyptus, wild boar, and even the diminutive pudu deer. Keep an eye out as well for the myrtle tree, a rare species with cinnamon-like bark. • We travel with young children, who enjoyed more the trip on catamaran to itself the island. The travel they do have much history and the children are bored. The place has a unique landscape. I had the possibility of making Kayak which was the best memory that I took.

  • We've been in Isla Victoria with the ride on the catamaran Cau Cau. We did the tour that leaves at 13:30 and only had 45 minutes on the island, which is a very short time, since the interesting would be able to spend some time admiring the scenery or taking advantage of the little Beach on the shore of the Lake. The view is beautiful, but for those who visited the Cerro Campanario, not surprising. Worth the experience of boat trip with the seagulls, but it's not something indispensable for who goes to Bariloche.

  • The Isla Victoria's beautiful, apart from the numerous construction sites incl. zerfallenenem chair lift and empty standing hotel, but two of the four hours while waiting for the ship to get back again. Because about half of the trails was a cup of coffee and a sandwich in the guide so highly acclaimed Sandwicheria because wood shock geschlossen...gut then. As we walked from the from the rear of the building up, we saw already that was piled up mountains of waste and other waste behind the building. It looked like a slum. We saw then the run-down completely dirty local from the inside, the appetite went by us, Yes, we feared even to our health if the kitchen would look like... So we waited in the cold wind on the ship. You would have to tell necessarily the customer at the time of booking that the half trails are not accessible, because that detracts from the price / performance ratio of the quite expensive tour but significantly...

  • A paradisiac place...! A must see..!! You can take a guided tour from Puerto Pañuelo in Bariloche or from Villa la Angostura.. A well kept place, so beautiful and great. A day is not enough to enjoy it..! The island has some easy hiking trails, so you can stroll in the tall pine forest (Isla Victoria has varied foliage, including the arctic beech), get to the sandy shores (you can find some solitary beaches on which to sit and contemplate the lake), or, weather permitting, enjoy the clear waters of Nahuel Huapi lake (en mapuche Nahuel Huapi means island of tiger or jaguar).
  • A unique place! Paradise! Its beach with sand and mix of forests, is a perfect combination! Its waters are quality and invite you to spend all day immersed in them. Super recommended! Beautiful view!

  • Beautiful and magical place. The problem is the confectionery very poorly attended, this winter had no heating and very expensive prices and little variety! But it is worth going to walk by boat and the island... but bring food!

  • Miy interesting tour. Excellent work of Park Rangers and their families trying to recover the native, modified, destroyed and ruined by the intervention of man if profit-seeking economic. Very important and hard work of the Manager of the nursery, to recover the vegetation native to the island.
