Isla Victoria, San Carlos de Bariloche

4.2
#4 of 12 in Nature in San Carlos de Bariloche
Surrounded by the waters of Nahuel Huapi Lake, Isla Victoria offers the chance to explore an island sanctuary covered by a thick forest. Hop aboard one of the boat tour operators in the area and enjoy the short ride out to the island, which provides sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and hills. Once on the island, you can hike or take a tour, or simply kick back with a picnic. You'll find many species of plant and animal life here, including sequoia, eucalyptus, wild boar, and even the diminutive pudu deer. Keep an eye out as well for the myrtle tree, a rare species with cinnamon-like bark. • a tour with history and beauty of nature, good experience until you reach the place by ferry with the vastness of the mountains and water and seagulls. It is a very well explained above the trees and the ecosystem of the place.

  • All the landscapes of the Nahuel Huapi Park, are amazing. Victoria Island is one of these places with beautiful scenery, 3 or 4 trails, you can go to reach different beaches or viewpoints. The difference that this occurs, is that only sailing can be reached, and honestly I think that the price is expensive, to see landscapes that are similar to which can be seen from the small circuit. Most of the people have recommended me making the Lake excursion to Puerto Blest and Cascada de los cantaros, which is better than this. They have the same cost, but only starting in the morning hours. That is why I could not do it and I embark to Victoria Island and Arrayanes Park.

  • We did the tour agency fee Elegance in the Center. We do not accept the transfer of the Agency, because we believed that going to spend less taxi (the ride leaves the port, near the Hotel Lhao Lhao). Biggest mistake. The transfer to the port, in seeking in the hotel (we were staying at the Design Suites) go out back and forth 240.00 pesos per person. In the end, by taxi, spent 800 pesos. Who is doing this tour, close the transfer. How to ride: the craft and comfortable and heated. Goes through several beautiful locations. We went down in Isla Victoria trace hike twist (very cool). Then we go to Myrtle Grove. Walk started the 13:00, we get back the 18:00 in Porto. It has cafeteria inside the vessel. The entrance to the Park of 600 pesos. Pay with debit card.
