Circuito Grande, San Carlos de Bariloche

(4.5/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Cruise around Circuito Grande to see craggy mountains and seven pristine lakes, all in one day. Weaving between the seven iconic lakes, then following the Limay and Traful rivers, the circuit spans nearly 250 km (155 mi) and makes for a long day trip. Most recommend driving the circuit counterclockwise to appreciate the best scenery in the morning, and saving the easiest road for the end of the day, when you're tired. Stop for a meal at the lakeside town of Angostura, where you can enjoy a relaxing picnic on the beach. If you feel like more of a physical challenge, cycle the route over a handful of days, camping along the way. Put Circuito Grande into our San Carlos de Bariloche family vacation planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • I LOVED IT!!!! I think is more worthwhile than the boat ride. At least we take more ... We went through different landscapes, beautiful views and interesting cities-Villa Angostura has a main street for a short walk or meal (but the tour passes through streets of summer houses etc) and after a little Villa Traful and interesting city (where we had lunch). Soon near has a wonderful lookout-worth it up and enjoy. Recommend this interesting walk

  • Some people do this circuit on the car or by bike. My review is for organized tour on the minibus. Pickup from hotel in Bariloche. We entered Nahuel Huapi national park. Lima River valley, Valle Encan...  more »
  • We left the Hotel Edelweiss in Bariloche as combined time by BRC, Booking Travel Agency LS for initiating the whole day walking "Great Circuit". The day was perfect, heat bearable blue skies and few cloud. The way beautiful until our guide that now I can't remember the name said that we were privileged, because the weather forecast indicated rain. We made several stops: Amphitheater of the Limay river with its rock formations, Lymay River, enchanted Valley very beautiful by the way "a must", in Mirador named El Mirador del Watching to see the beauty of Traful Lake and the Rocky Mountains that lie in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, stop in Villa Traful for lunch and walk to the Villa and Lake Traful, which is a province of Neuquen , stop at the Mirador Inalco really beautiful and Villa Angustura a short walk to get to know the main points of the town and stopped in the port with its squares, Restaurants, Handicrafts Fair stalls and Boat trips for lakes. Tour that I recommend for anyone who wants to know the beauties of this place in the summer. Because I think that most people only think about Bariloche in winter and ski resorts.
