Centro Civico, San Carlos de Bariloche

The symbol of the city, Centro Civico surprises many visitors with its Alpine-style architecture and fine views of Nahuel Huapi Lake. Made from distinctive greenish stone and dating back to 1940, the complex houses many of the city's important offices, such as police headquarters, a library, and the city council. The most popular part of the complex is the Francisco P. Moreno Museum of Patagonia, which displays everything from the natural to the cultural history of the region. The square in front of the complex is dominated by the statue of General Julio Argentino Roca, former president of Argentina. A visit to Centro Civico represents just the start of the adventure when you use our San Carlos de Bariloche trip builder site to plot your vacation.

  • In the center of the city is the Civic Center, it is very picturesque and since the afternoon there is varied entertainment for children and adults. It is a short walk to so it can be made to the return of any excursion.
