The symbol of the city, Centro Civico surprises many visitors with its Alpine-style architecture and fine views of Nahuel Huapi Lake. Made from distinctive greenish stone and dating back to 1940, the complex houses many of the city's important offices, such as police headquarters, a library, and the city council. The most popular part of the complex is the Francisco P. Moreno Museum of Patagonia, which displays everything from the natural to the cultural history of the region. The square in front of the complex is dominated by the statue of General Julio Argentino Roca, former president of Argentina. The Civic Center is a very nice place for a stroll. Have a view of the Lake Nahuel. Great for pictures and is easy to take pictures with the St. Bernard dogs. Also around has a Museum for those who love history

The last Saturday of July had a waiters race that ended at the Civic Center, with songs and dances. The day was beautiful and the hot sun so we stayed there watching the scenery of the Lake.

The Civic Center is quite small but surprising by the architecture, the predinhos all in stone are classic point to pictures. In addition, there can always find dogs Saint Bernard, characteristic of the region, are beautiful and big boys. Photographers charge to do a picture, about 150 pesos, but allow you to make other pictures with our own cell phone.
