(4.3/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Explore Cavernas del Viejo Volcan Parque Cerro Leones, three caverns inside an old volcano. The caverns are at an altitude of about 900 m (3,000 ft) and are reachable by a steep walkway. Once supposedly inhabited by the Tehuelche civilization, two of the caves are relatively easily accessed on foot. The third requires crouching through a narrow path that leads to a lagoon with a pool of fresh water. Climb just 87 m (285 ft) more to get to the top of the volcano and enjoy panoramic views of the surroundings. • I actually went in October 2014 but it was not the option when I went to write this publication. The truth is that it is a very picturesque place, the guides during the ascent tells the history of the place. At least the guide that we had to us was a phenomenon and I knew a lot of history. Arriving almost at the Summit is accessed to the caverns in where almost no light becomes a fount of Crystal CLEAR water. A recommended experience out of classic circuits of Bariloche

  • We had lunch after touring the caves. The attendance was very good and food high expectations. It is worth knowing the area.

  • It is the Centre of Bariloche, the guide a phenomenon clear in their explanations, the excursion is difficult, for my taste you faltarian some Rails security in some sections, the caves are to avoid losing and especially the underground lake.
