Capilla San Eduardo, San Carlos de Bariloche

(4.1/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
A small church with big views, Capilla San Eduardo boasts markedly English architecture and reminds visitors of the role European powers once played in this part of the world. Designed by architect Alejandro Bustillo and erected in 1938, the church features a simple rectangular floor plan topped with a gable roof and a small bell tower. Made of stone and wood, the building contains a frieze depicting episodes from the life of St. Edward the Confessor, the last Anglo-Saxon king of England. The church occupies a scenic spot on high ground and rewards visitors with sweeping views of the surrounding mountain peaks. • It is a chapel built by architect Bustillo in 1938. Inside it has a frieze of the painter Raúl Soldi which is very nice.

  • Near the llao llao hotel and no entrance fee. Next to the road easy to arrive. The church wood smells good. Small though. Nice to see if you have free time.  more »
