Where to stay in Salta

Salta's status as the tourist hub of northwestern Argentina means that a wide array of accommodations has sprung up throughout the city. The majority are concentrated around the city's grid-like center, surrounding Plaza 9 de Julio. For something more relaxed and closer to nature, go southeast and explore the area around Parque San Martin. You can opt for anything from a healthy range of budget accommodations, including hostels and small guesthouses, all the way to luxury hotels.

  • Good
  • Free Museum. Beautiful to visit. On the ground floor are the itinerant exhibitions of artists from Salta, elsewhere in the country and neighboring countries. Permanent signs can be seen on the top floor.
